"GARAGE SALE....Left overs""

Our Church donated a GARAGE FULL (and then some) of Yard Sale items.  It was such and encouraging and tangible act of support.  We spent this Saturday meeting neighbors and making money!  We made over $300!  This photo was taken in our hallway.  Every box you see is JAM PACKED with PATTERNS.  New!  They are priced between $5 and $20!  I estimate that we have about $4000 dollars (full-price retail) worth of paper sitting in the space I would like to be walking through!  If  you know anyone interested in opening a sewing store....have them call me!  I have inventory for them!  (And I'll sell it to them CHEAP!)

In other news...Aaliyah and I went to the store today to get a pair of shorts for "Daddy."  She was looking at the different choices with me when she blurted out "Daddys the BOMB!" really loudly!  Other shoppers started laughing, she loved that, so she stared trying out other phrases..."Elmo is the BOMB!", "Elmo and Daddy is the Bomb" and finally! "I'm a BUM!"

Cute Kid....

It's hard to believe that this little one is going to be a BIG SISTER!  She is such a delight, WE are such proud parents.  We found out her little brother is due in 60 days!  What an amazing journey we have ahead of us.  GOD is our constant refuge as we wait for His miracles- we are waiting on Him to provide for the safe delivery of our little boy.

HAIR!

Just for kicks, here is a step by step photo journal of our "Hair Routine."  It is a true adventure. We are both learning how to get though the process without crying.  Aaiyah loves having pretty beads in her hair and loves to shake her head and make fun clicking noises as they tap together.  I love putting them in and leaving her "do" in for several days!

By Special Request....

It was silly of me to post a photo of Sammy... without his best friend.  Here they are together.  They have so much fun running and playing ball- It was difficult to catch "them" in the same frame.  They have such a special relationship.   (If this makes no sense, see previous post.)

Meet Sammy.

So this is our pet squirrel.   We think EVERYONE should have a pet squirrel.  He lives by our front door, he came with the house.  Aaliyah knows ALL about him, we were talking this afternoon...here are some of the fun facts I learned about this "furry" little plastic creature we call "Sammy."

"How old is Sammy?"
Aaliyah- "He's gonna be two."
How does Sammy stay warm?"
Aaliyah- "He has furry. He need a jacket, I will look in the closet."
"What does Sammy like to eat?"
Aaliyah-"Strawberries."
"Anything else?"
Aaliyah-"Strawberries!"
"Does he have any friends?"
Aaliyah-"Yeah, they run.  Sammy is going to run.  With Elmo."
What else do Sammy and Elmo like to do?
Aaliyah-"They are going to chase my ball and slide."
"That sounds like fun. "
Aaliyah-"Yeah."

Hope you have a fun day ahead of you, full of "running and sliding!"
